Surprise!! Eee PC 901 vs 1000H start up time
People knows that SSD should have sufficient speed enhancement over hard drive.
However, let check our finding?
Eee PC 1000H using 40GB hard drive gives similar XP start-up time to Eee PC 901 using 4GB SLC SSD (plus 8GB MLC SSD).
This was surprised to our reviewers when doing this test!!
It is not surprise that Xandros OS should have faster start-up time than WinXP as discovered few monthes ago.
Summary:
Eee PC 901 (Linux version) = 28 seconds (Similar to 701 linux version)
Eee PC 901 (Windows version) = 40 seconds
Eee PC 1000H (Windows version) = 41 seconds
